Developmental Edit

In a developmental edit, I review your novel for the big picture items—plot, pacing, characters, and themes—and provide you with an in-depth editorial letter and two coaching calls designed to help you strengthen your writing and make sure it’s reflecting the story you want to tell.
Manuscript Evaluation
Not ready for a full developmental edit, but feeling lost on what your manuscript needs before you dive back into the next draft? In a manuscript evaluation, I provide an evaluation of your story’s strengths and areas for improvement, focusing on plot, pacing, characters, and overall impact to help you take the next steps with confidence. It’s basically a dev edit, but less detailed.
Line Edit
Patched all your plot holes and figured out your story shape, but your prose could use some refinement? In a line edit, I go over your manuscript line-by-line to make your writing shine. Line edits are where we remove filler words, make sure the sentences are clear, and make sure your voice is centre stage. Proofreading Edit
Have a finished manuscript that just needs a final polish before publication? In a proofreading edit, I closely read your entire typeset manuscript to correct typos, grammar, spelling, ensure stylistic consistency throughout, and make sure everything looks exactly as it should in your typeset pages.
